Director of Operations (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities:
1.Operational Management:
Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the church, including facilities, sunday service, technology, and volunteer coordination.
● Implement and maintain efficient operational systems and processes that support the church's mission and vision.
● Oversee the management of church facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained. Manage the procurement and maintenance of all supplies required for the functionality and upkeep of the building
● Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure smooth execution of church programs, events, and services.
● Act as the primary point of contact and manager for Sunday services, ensuring that all aspects are well-coordinated and executed efficiently and effectively with the guidance of North City Church elders and lead pastor.
2.Financial Oversight & Budget Management:
● Assist in the development of the annual church budget in collaboration with the executive leadership team.
● Monitor and manage operational spending to ensure alignment with the church’s financial goals.
● Oversee financial reporting and assist with stewardship of financial resources, ensuring that all resources are used efficiently and effectively.
● Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and best practices.
3.Contractors and Volunteer Coordinator:
● Provide leadership and management to church contractors, including administrative & finance personnel, facility teams, and volunteers.
● Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of all new volunteers within ministries at North City Church.
● Foster a collaborative, positive work culture that encourages personal growth, team development, and alignment with church values.
4.Strategic Planning & Improvement:
● Work with church leadership to develop and implement short-term and long-term operational strategies that support church growth and community outreach.
● Identify and implement operational improvements, using data and feedback to refine processes.
● Lead special projects as directed by the Lead Pastor and elders to support the church’s strategic objectives.
5.Communication & Coordination:
● Serve as a liaison between ministry leaders, staff, volunteers, and congregation to ensure effective communication and coordination across all operational areas.
● Oversee the church’s internal communication systems and Newsweekly, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are informed and engaged.
● Help organize church-wide events, including services, conferences, and community outreach programs.
6.Risk Management & Compliance:
● Oversee risk management processes, including safety protocols and emergency plans for events and services.
● Ensure the church complies with all local, state, and federal regulations.
● Assist in managing insurance and legal requirements for the church, working with outside counsel or consultants as needed.
Qualifications:
Education& Experience:
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational management, preferably within a church or nonprofit environment.
● Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
● Experience in staff management, team building, and volunteer coordination.
Skills& Abilities:
● Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
● Proficiency in church management software, office tools (Microsoft Office Suite), and basic accounting software.
● Ability to analyze and solve complex operational issues.
● High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.

Work Schedule:
● This is a full-time, flexible/hybrid role totaling approximately 40+ hours weekly.
● Weekly schedules will vary depending upon event and ministry needs, but Sundays are required.
